The Columbus Division of Fire's mission is to serve the community by preventing emergencies through education and inspection. As an accredited training facility for over 25 years, Columbus Division of Fire plans to use this training unit to provide realistic simulations for new and veteran EMTs. An additional 750-1,000 people will have the opportunity to be trained thanks to Bob Caldwell Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM's generous donation.
Justin Harmon, Dealer Principal of Bob Caldwell Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM presented the training unit to Columbus Division of Fire's Captain Dave Roggenkamp and Battalion Chief Carl Jepson at the 2018 Columbus International Auto Show on March 17th.
The Westerville Division of Fire provides CPR classes that train over 100 residents per year, as well as re-certifying all full-time city employees. The classes provide life-saving skills to the public and includes instruction on the use of Automatic External Defibrillators (AED's). The fire department has offered CPR training classes for over a decade and anticipates an additional 100+ people having the opportunity to be trained thanks to Roush Honda's donation.
Jeff Brindley, President and CEO of Roush Auto Group, along with Marketing Director Jill McCarron and Marketing Assistant Lindzey Watson presented the training unit to Westerville Fire Department's Battalion Chief Jim Marra and Fire Fighter/Paramedic and CPR Trainer Victor Dulaney at the 2018 Columbus International Auto Show on March 18th.
OADA, through the NADA Charitable Foundation, has been involved with member dealers in CPR equipment donation for over ten years now.
