OADA is excited to announce it will be hosting its annual Workers' Compensation & Safety Management Seminars to assist dealers in staying up-to-date on safety issues and learning about BWC programs that can help them save money, provide a safer workplace, and encourage employees to make healthier choices.

Our partners make OADA's Workers' Compensation Savings Programs the premier workers' compensation management program for motor vehicle dealers in Ohio. By combining subject matter experts on Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance with our experienced Workers' Compensation Claims Management team, OADA has saved our members nearly a quarter of a billion dollars in insurance premiums since 1991, while reducing injuries and making safety a priority at dealerships around Ohio.

This year's agenda includes:

Back to Basics and Best Practices for a Safe Workplace

Join our EHS partner, ComplyNet, as we explore the following topics:

BWC's SUR-Program - a SURprisingly Beneficial Program for Drug-Free Workplaces

Join BWC Business Consultants, Jeff Little and Lorrie Goodnight, as we discuss the benefits of the Substance Use Recovery & Workplace Safety Program (SURWSP) which provides reimbursement for the basic components of any Drug-Free Workplace Program. Attendees will hear details of available funding for:

The SUR Program also includes access to BWC's Better You Better Ohio wellness program, which provides health and wellness resources along with the ability to earn up to $175 in financial incentives.

Find out how you can enroll in the SUR Program and/or Better You Better Ohio wellness program for the benefit of both your dealership and your employees.

Managing Claims & Maximizing Technology, Plus BWC Programs & Policy Update

Join Sedgwick's Cordell Walton and Kirsten Gibson as they discuss Sedgwick's ViaOne, a unique "one-stop" information management program that was built from the ground up with efficiency, security, availability, and usability as its' primary goals. Our Sedgwick team will discuss the benefits of accessing and utilizing real-time claims information to manage claims.

Our team will also discuss methods for maximizing your workers' compensation savings and solutions through Sedgwick, as well as BWC program and policy updates you need to know.

Again this year, this seminar will fulfill the two hour safety training requirement that BWC requires if you had a claim during the "Green Year" (July 1, 2019 through Sept. 30, 2020). If you are uncertain whether your dealership needs to meet this requirement, please reach out to DeAnna at OADA, 614-923-2231 or dzahniser@oada.com.
