Columbus Auto Dealers Donate $138,000 from Charity Gala

On Wednesday, June 1, the Columbus Automobile Dealers Association (CADA) gathered to present checks totaling $138,000 to five deserving organizations in Central Ohio. This $138,000 marks a record amount raised by their annual Auto Show Charity Gala.

The Alzheimer’s Association’s Central Ohio Chapter, Children’s Heart Foundation, The Childhood League Center, Flying Horse Farms, and Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana all benefited from these funds from the 2016 Charity Gala held back in March in conjunction with the Columbus International Auto Show.

In 2011, the Charity Gala had raised $56,000, the highest ever at the time. That’s a growth of $82,000 more in donations in just five years time. The Columbus dealers are very dedicated to this annual cause, and it shows through their tremendous efforts in fundraising for the event. At the check presentation, 2016 Auto Show Chairman Bruce Daniels commented, “We as dealers are all very lucky to be in the business we are in... This gala is a way for us to come together to help so many people in our community who are really in need. We are able to be a part of something so much bigger than ourselves.”

All five charities were blown away by the donations and said this money will help them be able to fund so many more programs to continue their causes. CADA is pleased to be able to give such a great amount back to these groups and help make an incredible impact on the Central Ohio community.
