Chesrown Chevrolet Buick GMC Gives Back to Local Community with $250,000 Donation to Delaware Hayes High School

September 15, 2016 - Delaware Ohio - The Delaware Hayes High School has received a generous donation Members Of The Gill Family Are Pictured With Student Athletes From Delaware Hayes High School During The Check Presentationfrom Chesrown Chevrolet Buick GMC, located in Delaware. Chesrown and its owners Jim and Ryan Gill presented a check for $250,000 to the high school before Hayes recent football game vs. Mansfield Senior High School. Student athletes representing all sports joined the Gill family on the field during the announcement. To show its appreciation, Delaware Hayes has renamed its new football field "Chesrown Field."

Steve Glesenkamp, Hayes Athletic Director said, "A big Pacer thank you to the Gill family. We are so appreciative of their generous support and their belief in our student athletes at Delaware Hayes. As time goes on their commitment to the Athletic Department will benefit a generation of young people in the city of Delaware. 'Pacer Pride District Wide'."

Delaware Hayes' Principal, Ric Stranges added, "Delaware Hayes High School and Chesrown have fostered a wonderful partnership that strongly assists our student athletes, benefits our high school and supports our entire community. The Gill family's long-term commitment elevates our Pacer Nation to new heights."

Chesrown Chevrolet Buick GMC was founded in 1963 by Norman Chesrown, Jim Gill's Stepfather. The dealership moved its operations to Delaware in December of 2002 and has been very involved in the community fabric ever since. "We are just so grateful to be able to give back to the community that has been so good to our family and supportive of our business," said Jim Gill.
