CLEVELAND, OH- The Medical Programs of NewBridge Cleveland Center for Arts & Technology were greatly enhanced when Bernie Moreno Companies, in partnership with the Ohio Automobile Dealers Association (OADA) and the National Automobile Dealers Charitable Foundation, presented a Resusci Anne Full Body CPR training unit.

NewBridge Cleveland Center for Arts & Technology offers free vocational training for both high school students and adults in disadvantaged communities. Using a market-based approach, NewBridge meets with local hospitals and institutions to gauge employment needs and works with employers to develop coursework that prepares students for in-demand careers. CPR certification is required for a number of NewBridge's Programs, including the newly-adopted Hospital Nursing Assistant (HNA) Program that boasts a 100% placement rate for its graduates. NewBridge anticipates an additional 100-300 people having the opportunity to be trained thanks to this donation.

Bernie Moreno Companies has been a strong supporter of NewBridge for several years. Recognizing that transportation issues are often major obstacles to those first entering the workforce, Bernie Moreno Companies previously partnered with NewBridge to supply transportation to graduates about to embark on their first post-training position.

Dennis Lafferty, VP of Strategic Operations & Community Relations at Bernie Moreno Companies, along with Jacci Horvath, Marketing & Communications Manager at the Ohio Automobile Dealer’s Association, presented the training unit at the dealership on January 5.
